Come cycle, running, rambling, or just relax in the Pyrenees...

What we’d like to do for you!

Peter and Hazel Gibbs would like to welcome you to their bed and breakfast accommodation situated centrally in the foothills of the Pyrenees with easy access to many Tour de France cycle climbs. We’re also here for those who want to slow down, enjoy the sites, restaurants, spas (our local spa at Bagnere de Bigorre has open-air Jacuzzis on the roof!) and relax!

The scenery is stunning in all seasons, whether it is snow and skiing, biking the Pyrenean valleys with mountain views or climbing through silent forests until you are above the tree line and reach the summits. There is so much to see and do whether its sport, shopping in the villages with old crafts, or enjoying regional cuisine such as Garbure or Pork Noir de Bigorre.

So contact us now for your break whether it be biking (check our cyclosportive section), running, walking or skiing, both cross country and downhill.

About the Bike Riding; Col d’Aspin here we come!…

Living in the south of France and particularly in the French Pyrenees, we have access to a large range of traffic free roads perfect for cycling that take you through stunning scenery and quaint villages; all with the backdrop of the hills and mountains.

The bike rides up to the summit of the cols are so quiet you could here a pin drop if it wasn’t for your heavy breathing! My favourite climb, the Col d’Aspin, is only an hour’s easy ride from our house. Each time I go out, I see new sights and the weather paints a different picture as the light changes every day. Cycling in this region gives you options of easy valley rides as well as the strenuous cols of the Pyrenees and I will be delighted to show you the peaks and troughs of all our local routes.

Refreshment stops are different here to your local café ones but just as interesting. They can often mean buying cakes from the bakers and eating them next door where the coffee is sold!! All day rides can include a lakeside lunch stop at a local auberge (Inn) for example, with a menu at 10 euros. Call or email us now and book your holiday or break here!

About Peter Gibbs

Qualified Sports

Massage Therapist

Peter has been a qualified sports massage therapist since qualifying in 1995 at the Welsh Sports Massage Institute and is treating local athletes as well as those on training holidays. This is especially useful for those on an intensive week's training schedule, when overtraining could give niggling injuries.

As a former member of the
Register of Exercise Professionals, Level 3, in the UK, Peter can give advice on training schedules and recommend exercises on the multi-gym.
